Eleanor O’Rourke is Director of the World Climate Research Programme’s Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP), the international framework coordinating global climate model experiments used in IPCC assessments. Her work supports collaboration across the climate modelling community to ensure consistency, transparency and scientific comparability in Earth system simulations. O’Rourke brings valuable expertise in international coordination, model evaluation and climate data governance, all of which are highly relevant for TerraDT as it develops interoperable digital twin components aligned with broader climate modelling ecosystems. Her perspective supports TerraDT’s ambition to contribute meaningfully to future climate science infrastructures and standards.
