Michael Schick is Principal Engineer at EUMETSAT and System Manager for the Destination Earth Data Lake. He coordinates the technical implementation of the Data Lake infrastructure, including its integration with HPC environments, distributed workflows and AI-ready data services. His work focuses on ensuring scalable, reliable and interoperable access to climate and Earth system datasets generated by DestinE digital twins. Schick brings strong expertise in data architecture, federated infrastructures and big-data processing, all of which are directly aligned with TerraDT’s ambitions to deliver modular, high-performance climate digital twin components. His perspective is particularly valuable for TerraDT’s data interoperability and user-access strategies.
